Information:

Albert Lauder was born in Meltonmowbrey, Leicester. He worked in Telegraph Section of Longford Post Office. He enlisted in Longford on 8 Sept. 1914 and was initially posted to the 12th Battalion, Rifle Brigade. He was on active service from 21 July 1915 to 5 October 1916. He was transferred to the Royal Engineers in December 1916 while in England. Lauder was awarded the Military Medal in 1917. He was back on active service on the Western Front from 17 June 1917. His death was reported in The Longford Leader, 29 Sept. 1917.
