Information:

John was born in 1 June 1889 in Clonterm, near Longford town. He enlisted on 23 May 1918, was assigned to 'M' Company, 313th Infantry on 13 June 1918 and went overseas, to France, on 8 July. He served in the Avocourt sector in the Meuse-Argonne campaign.

His wife was Nettie and they married in April 1918.
