| Information: | Patrick was born c.1883. He married Mary McGovern at Granard at St. Mary's, Granard in February 1913 and their first son, Patrick James, was born that July. Hyland had a long miitary career, having previously served 13 years with the 2nd Connaught Rangers from November 1902 to December 1915. He re-enlisted with the R.I. Fusiliers in January 1916 at Longford, however he left the military shortly after. |
