Information:

Michael was born in Graffogue, Granard, 13 September 1882*.  Pte Murray enlisted in Pentre, Glamorgan.

Pte Murray was injured as a result of the attack on Ginchy on the 9/10 September 1916, which was a joint operation with a number of other Irish regiments, including the 8th Royal Dublin Fusiliers.  

Parents Names: Son of Thomas Murray and Mary (née Quinn) of Graffogue, Granard.
Notes: *The Civil Record writes the name as Murry. The CWGC gave his age as 33 years, rather than 34.
