Information:

Patrick was born on Great Water Street Longford on the 30 January 1880.

Pte. Meehan served a long military career enlisting with the Derbyshire Regiment in August 1899.

The 1st battalion landed at Le Havre as part of the 24th Brigade in the 8th Division in November 1914 for service on the Western Front. Patrick was later killed in action in the opening months of the war as a result of being buried in a communication trench. 

Patrick's younger brother, Martin Meehan, also served in the Great War. 

Parents Names: Francis Meehan and Bridget (née McManus, later Creighton), Longford. Stepson of John Creighton.
