Information:

Francis was born in 1895 Ardagh, Co. Longford. Pte. Kennedy enlisted for the army in Dec 1912 and was called to the front in Sep 1914.

He was killed in action at the aged 19. Pte. Kennedy is commemorated at Ploegsteert Memorial, Belgium. This suggests that more then likely he attained his wounds in the course of the day-to-day trench warfare or in engagements, usually carried out in support of the major attacks taking place elsewhere.
