Information: Hugh was born in Granard on the 17 March 1877. He moved to Canada and married Isabella. He joined the Canadian Forces in Jan 1916. H e was killed in a Motor accident in June 1931, his son John Doherty was living in Flint
Parents Names: Patrick Doherty and Rose Ward of Granard.
Notes: Possible relation to Patrick Doherty, Granard, a blacksmith. Became a storekeeper in Flint after the war. Died in a motor accident.
