Information: | Charles was born on or around the 18 Feb 1884. He enlisted with the Irish Guards in 1917, and later received a gunshot wound to his hand around June 1918, and as a result was awarded the Silver War Badge. Charles was discharged on the 4 Apr 1919. After the war Charles returned to Bawn House, Drumanure. He married Catherine Ann Curran, the daughter of an RIC Constable, on the 8 Nov 1920 in the Holy Trinity Church of Ireland in Tashinny. It is believed that Charles died of natural causes in the County Hospital in Jan 1954. |
