Information: | Thomas was a caprenter and labourer, and was particularly well-known for making and selling pig troughs. In 1914, Thomas was employed as a groom in the cavalry (Lower) barracks. On the 28 December 1914, he was putting water in the troughs for the horses when one horse kicked and fatally injured him. An inquest was held the following day. We believe that this was Thomas Campbell that married Helen/Ellen Gray in St. Mel's Cathedral on the 21 Jan 1882, and had at least seven children together, including Michael, Kate and Thomas. |
